Sesame and Me

3 ความคิดเห็น

Sesame and Me is a story about friendship and devotion between a boy and his dog.  They both share laughter, joy and excitement as they explore the Kingdom of Sesame and Me. It is a story that will give children a deeper understanding that dogs can feel much as they do.  A portion of this book greatly benefits Soi Cats and Dogs (SCAD) Foundation.  WOOF!

Sesame and Me character study

0 ความคิดเห็น

Prior to creating the picture book, "Sesame and Me", I managed to do  a couple of character maquettes out of Super Sculpey and painted in Acrylic.  It is always fun to work on physical models first so that you can see how your main characters would look like in 360 turn-around, although the final version of the Boy and Sesame have been changed slightly.
More on the actual artwork will be added soon....

Specially Me!

0 ความคิดเห็น

A book of animal opposites.  Big, small, tall and short just to name a few. These guys just can't get along.  The crocodile's skin is just scaly and rough.  How can a frog with smooth skin compete, well that's tough!  A fat hippo with big appetite challenges the slender spider monkey for an eating contest, how can that be considered fair?  These animals are so unique and special in their own ways that no one is backing down!  Will they ever get along?

More on Portraits of Soi Dogs that were auctioned off at the Wine Hervest Dinner

After adopting Sesame Ses from SCAD, he proves that stray dog are capable of learning tricks, being loyal and being a best friend too, disregarding of breed.  But how are we going to change people's perception that all dogs are unique in their own ways?  That was when I decided to turn the normality of the strays that many have once thought into canines that are full of personalities and with the same status of the pedigree breeds!
SCAD dogs are the lucky ones. Photographs of these plucky animals’ awful beginnings and stories of their desperate struggles for a lonely survival in the streets of Thailand pre-SCAD, belie today’s joyful expressions captured in the faces of  Portraits of Soi Dogs.

Street dog can be a hero too, like this Terrier-mix "Super Bashful".

How about a dog with 3 and a half legs named "3 N A Bit", who is probably much more agile and athletic than any dog with 4 legs.

Beauty turned to Beast when the owner dumped her on the street.  But after some makeover and spa treatment, Mimi the divine is back!

Happy faces are what these dogs deserve.  Cabaret Som is just one prime example for the happy go lucky dog.  No wonder she is the ambassador for the organization.

The Princess of the pack and she only got 3 legs!  The dogs crowned her Sweet Pea and she is quite fond of it too!

Shadow or "Ngow" in Thai, is a small Terrier-mix full of character.  He even has my shades on.
Herbie is a real wuss of the pack, or is he the nosiest of them all?!  But wouldn't it be nice to take him out on a motor bike for an adventurous ride?
Mick has just recovered from cancer and his jaw is still in an awkward position.  Mick has gone through so much suffering in the past and now that he is well, its probably the best time for him to contemplate over the things that he missed out....."Squirrel!"

"Snoody Sesame Ses"

"Snoody Sesame Ses" makes the 1st cut of the 12 dogs for the upcoming Soi Cats and Dogs (SCAD Foundation) Wine Harvest Dinner.
This guy is a real snoody and hostile mutt with an attitude.  But he is still one of the coolest street dog out there though!
